The Saliva Metals and Minerals Test quantifies the presence of metals and minerals in saliva using ICP-MS/MS. It is used as a non-invasive method for monitoring exposure to heavy metals, specifically for dental amalgams.

- NUTRITIONAL: Sodium [Na], Potassium [K], Calcium [Ca], Strontium [Sr], Phosphate [P], Boron [B], Magnesium [Mg], Iron [Fe], Copper [Cu], Zinc [Zn], Sulfur [S], Selenium [Se], Cobalt [Co], Manganese [Mn], Molybdenum [Mo], Vanadium [Va], Chromium [Cr].
- INDICATORS: Lithium [Li], Beryllium [Be], Aluminum [Al], Titanium [Ti], Nickel [Ni], Tin [Sn], Antimony [Sb], Barium [Ba], Tungsten/Wolfram [W], Platinum [Pt], Bismuth [Bi].
- TOXIC: Arsenic [As], Cadmium [Cd], Mercury [Hg], Thallium [Tl], Uranium [U], Lead [Pb].
- Test not suitable for patients with swallowing problems and children.
- Do not eat, chew gum, smoke, or brush your teeth 1 hour before the test.
- Rinse your mouth with water about 10 minutes before the test and wash your hands thoroughly.
- Avoid samples containing blood.
