Cellular Status
Cellular Status studies the cellular and humoral immunological response against the antigen of a pathogen of interest, such as COVID19, CMV, EBV, and Borrelia burgdorferi. The cellular response capacity is evaluated by measuring the production of IFNgamma against the specific antigens of the pathogen being studied. It helps us determine the type of predominant cellular response and whether the pathogen is in acute/latent/reactivated infection.
The Cell Typing and Humoral Response are Designed According to the Pathogen Being Studied.
- COVID: The immunological memory / cellular response to COVID is evaluated by vaccination, by natural infection with the virus, or if there is innate immunity to respond against the virus. A lymphocyte typing, serology of SARS-COV2 (IgG (S1) IgG (N), IgM) is included
- CMV by ELISPOT: Cytomegalovirus (CMV) serology, avidity evaluation to indicate whether it is a recent or old infection, Lymphocyte typing, cellular response and conclusion on a possible viral reactivation.
- EBV by ELISPOT: Epstein Barr serology, Lymphocyte Typing, CD57 Expression in NK, cellular response and conclusion on a possible viral reactivation and the degree of immunity against the virus.
- Borrelia: assessment of Lyme Disease against Borrelia afzelii, B garinii, B burgdorferi. A lymphocyte typing, Borrelia IgG and IgM serology by immunoblot is included.
