Cellular Response

Study of the cellular and humoral immune response to the antigen of a pathogen of interest such as COVID-19, CMV, EBV, and Borrelia burgdorferi. Cellular response capacity is assessed by IFN-gamma production in response to pathogen-specific antigens. It helps us determine the predominant type of cellular response and whether the pathogen is in an acute/latent/reactivated infection state.

The Cell Typing and Humoral Response are Designed According to the Pathogen Being Studied.

  • COVID: The immunological memory / cellular response to COVID is evaluated by vaccination, by natural infection with the virus, or if there is innate immunity to respond against the virus. A lymphocyte typing, serology of SARS-COV2 (IgG (S1) IgG (N), IgM) is included
  • CMV Lytic/Latent Cellular Response Profile: functional study that assesses the ability of T lymphocytes to recognize CMV lytic and latent antigens through IFN-γ production, enabling evaluation of immune memory, viral control, and possible reactivation.
  • EBV Lytic/Latent Cellular Response Profile: functional study that analyzes the specific response of T lymphocytes to EBV lytic and latent antigens through IFN-γ release, providing information on viral activity, latency, and immune control status.
  • Complete Borrelia / Lyme Study: immunological study for Lyme that analyzes cellular response (ELISpot IFN-γ), IgM/IgG antibodies, and CD57+ lymphocytes, allowing differentiation between latent and active forms.
