Stress and Biorhythm in saliva

The Salivary Stress and Biorhythm studies are non-invasive functional tests that allow us to assess how the body regulates itself throughout the day (or during the night) by measuring biomarkers in saliva at different time points. Unlike a single determination, this approach offers a dynamic profile of the circadian rhythm and neuroendocrine response, which is key to understanding the body’s state of activation and recovery.

The main marker is cortisol, the central hormone of the hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal (HPA) axis, involved in the stress response. Its expected daily pattern (morning peak and progressive decline) provides relevant information on stress load, adaptation, and recovery capacity.
