Women's Dysbiosis
Studies focused on the analysis of the microbiome and the identification of pathogens that can impact the health of the female reproductive system. Depending on the type of sample, we can study the vaginal or endometrial biofilm to evaluate if dysbiosis is present.
The balance of the vaginal microbiome can be altered by various factors, such as hormonal fluctuations, stress, medication, hygiene and eating habits, among others. Maintaining a healthy vaginal microbiome is essential not only to prevent infections, but also to preserve reproductive function and the correct development of the menstrual cycle. An imbalance in this microbiota can contribute to the development of vaginosis and affect a woman’s general health.
