The ALEX³ Test (Allergy Explorer by Macroarray Diagnostic) is the most advanced molecular diagnostic test for allergies, detecting sensitization to 300 allergens. A test that allows a rapid and complete diagnosis of the patient’s allergic status.
The broadest range of molecular allergens in a single assay. It quantifies total IgE and evaluates the allergic response by specific IgE for each of the possible causes of a reaction (82 extracts + 218 molecular components and no RUO allergens). CE-IVD certification for 300 Allergens.
The use of MOLECULAR allergens avoids the presence of cross-reactions (CCD), the main cause of false positives in allergy studies, increasing sensitivity and specificity.
300 Allergens from different Families:
- Grass pollens: reed, rye, common bermudagrass, timothy grass, corn, and Bahia grass.
- Tree pollens: common birch, acacia, tree of heaven, common alder, mountain cedar, Japanese cedar, common cypress, Arizona cypress, common ash, paper mulberry, common walnut, olive tree, London plane and white oak.
- Weed pollens: amaranth, common ragweed, artemisia, prickly saltwort, hemp, CBD, lambsquarters, ribwort plantain and pellitory.
- Mites: storage mite, flour mite, mold mite, American house dust mite, European house dust mite, house mite, and tropical blomia.
- Animal epithelia and proteins: horse, goat, pig, guinea pig, common rabbit, cat, golden hamster, Russian hamster, male dog urine, dog, brown rat, common mouse, and cow.
- Microorganisms: alternaria alternata, aspergillus fumigatus, cladosporium herbarum, malassezia sympodialis and penicilium chrysogenum.
- Insects and venoms: European honeybee, common wasp, paper wasp, bald-faced hornet, American cockroach, German cockroach, and red fire ant.
- Fruits: Avocado, cherry, coconut, strawberry, fig, kiwi, mango, apple, peach, melon, papaya, pear, banana, and grape.
- Grains: lupine, oats, barley, rye, spelt, corn, millet, quinoa, wheat flour, and buckwheat.
- Legumes: peanut, chickpea, peas, lentils, and soy.
- Nuts, seeds and spices: almond, cashew, hazelnut, walnut, Brazil nut, macadamia nut, pecan nut, pine nut, pistachio, poppy seeds, pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds, sesame, and mustard.
- Vegetables: garlic, celery, onion, potato, and tomato.
- Egg and meats: egg white, egg yolk, horse, red meat, pork, common rabbit, house cricket, mealworm, migratory locust, sheep, turkey, chicken, and cow.
- Milk: horse milk, goat milk, dromedary milk, sheep milk, and cow’s milk.
- Seafood: venus clams, anisakis simplex, herring, light or white tuna, cod, lobster, mackerel, squid, shrimp, northern shrimp, giant Malaysian prawn, whiteleg shrimp, carp, jumbo shrimp, swordfish, salmon, and ray.
