The Basophil Degranulation Test (TDBH) allows us to identify by flow cytometry in blood the activation and degranulation of human basophils to various antigens (medications, food allergens, poisons, etc.) against which we can develop allergic reactions or hypersensitivity reactions.
This in vitro basophil activation test shows high specificity and sensitivity to a wide variety of allergens, additionally avoiding allergic skin tests on the patient or prick test (SPT).
If the TDBH test result is positive, there is a high probability that the patient is sensitive to the drug or allergen in question.
