The Lytic/Latent Cellular Response. Epstein-Barr Virus (EBV) profile consists of exposing a cell suspension (PBMCs) to viral protein extracts in lytic or latent phase and measuring the release of Interferon Gamma (IFN-γ) produced by T lymphocytes.

By ELISPOT methodology

  • Lymphocyte typing: Leukocytes, Lymphocytes, T Lymphocytes, T4/T8 Ratio
  • Antibodies EA IgG, VCA IgM, VCA IgG, EBNA IgG
  • T Lymphocyte IFNγ Production: to lytic antigens (BMLF1, BRLF1 and BZLF1) and latent antigens (EBNA 3 (A/B/C) and LMP-2)
  • Conclusion on immunological memory and viral control, active infections and possible viral reactivation
