The Comprehensive Borrelia–Lyme Profile is an extended immunology test that assesses the cellular response (IFN-γ ELISPOT in T lymphocytes), the humoral response (IgM/IgG by immunoblot), and lymphocyte immunophenotyping including NK CD57+ count, helping to complement diagnosis and differentiate active and latent forms of Lyme disease in the clinical context.
Provides complementary assessment of the humoral and cellular immune response in patients with suspected or monitored Lyme disease, differentiating between Latent and Active (Lytic) forms.
Diagnostic support test that must be interpreted in the clinical and serological context.
If a very recent infection is suspected, a Borrelia spp. PCR study is recommended.
- CD57 lymphocytes
- IgM antibodies (p39, p41, OspC Ba, OspC Bb, OspC Bg, VlsE Bb)
- IgG antibodies (p18, p19, p20, p21, p39, p41, p58, p83, LBb, OspC (p25), VlsE Ba, VIsE Bb and VlsE Bg)
- Cellular response with IFNγ production: T4, T8 and NK/NKT, differentiating between a lytic response (active infection) and a latent response (residual immunity from past infection)
