The Genetic Test Factor XIIIA analyzes the V34L genetic variant of the F13A1 gene, responsible for encoding Factor XIII A, also known as fibrin-stabilizing factor. This protein plays an essential role in the final phase of coagulation, strengthening and stabilizing the blood clot.
Its objective is to identify the genetic influence on clot stability and its relationship to the risk of thrombosis or hemorrhage.
