RESULTS: 10 DAYS

The GNT. DAO – Histamine Intolerance test evaluates the genetic variants associated with reduced activity of the Diamine Oxidase (DAO) enzyme, responsible for breaking down histamine present in food and in the body itself. A deficiency of this enzyme can lead to histamine accumulation and multisystemic symptoms (digestive, cutaneous, neurological, or respiratory).

Its objective is to identify genetic predisposition to primary DAO deficiency, guiding differential diagnosis and appropriate dietary or therapeutic guidelines.

  • People with symptoms consistent with excess histamine (headaches, migraines, hives, digestive discomfort, or nasal congestion).
  • Patients with multiple food intolerances or exaggerated response to wine, aged cheese, or cured meats.
  • Genetic evaluation in cases of suspected DAO deficiency or histamine intolerance.

AOC1: variants H645D, T16M, -691G>T, and S332P
