The test detects the presence of Helicobacter Pylori in stool and resistance to Clarithromycin
It is the bacteria responsible for most cases of duodenal and stomach ulcers, chronic gastritis, and stomach cancer.
- Discontinue or avoid taking antacids, barium, bismuth, antidiarrheal medications, antibiotics, histamine, drugs
nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory, or oily laxatives before obtaining the sample - Do not touch the swab in the area below the line indicating the breaking point, so as not to contaminate the sample.
- The intake of gastric protectors can give false negatives.
- The fecal sample must not contain urine or water
