HIV Ab/p24 (Combo): Detectable 10-18 days post-infection.

The p24 protein reduces the detection period to 2 weeks after infection.

It is possible to reduce the window period from 3 to 7 days by requesting the Qualitative HIV-1 PCR test

If the result is positive, the following is indicated:

• If the patient is not at risk, confirmation by Western blot should be performed.
• If the patient is at risk, it is recommended to perform the RNA viral load.
