The Canine Microbiome Test analyzes the composition and balance of the dog’s intestinal microbiota using massive sequencing technology (NGS). It provides a global and detailed view of the intestinal ecosystem, integrating bacterial and parasitic analysis into a single test, and is an advanced analytical tool for supporting veterinary diagnosis and monitoring intestinal health.
- BACTERIOME by NGS: more than 50 bacterial genera are studied, classified as essential symbionts (beneficial bacteria, protectors of the mucosa and modulators of the immune system), variable symbionts (bacteria adaptable to diet, environment and age) and pathobionts (pathogenic bacteria).
- PARASITOME by NGS: the following genera of parasites and helminths are studied: Giardia, Cystoisospora, Cryptosporidium, Eimeria, Neospora, Leishmania, Babesia, Enterocytozoon, Enterobius, Ascaris, Strongyloides, Trichuris, Necator, Ancylostoma, Anisakis, Toxocara, Taenia, Echinococcus.
- Wait 3 weeks in case of invasive digestive explorations, chemotherapy or surgery.
- 15 days before: do not take antibiotics or herbals (berberine, oregano oil, etc.), probiotics, prebiotics.
- Continue with your usual diet. It is important NOT to make changes to the foods you eat daily or overeat the day before the test.
