The Canine Parasitoma Test allows for the study of parasites and helminths in dog stool samples using massive sequencing technology (NGS). This study offers a global view of the dog’s intestinal parasitic profile, providing relevant information as a supporting tool in the diagnosis and monitoring of intestinal parasitic infections.
The use of NGS allows for the simultaneous identification of multiple parasite genera, even in cases of low parasitic load, contributing to a more precise evaluation of the animal’s intestinal parasitological status.
- Parasites by NGS: Giardia, Cystoisospora, Cryptosporidium, Eimeria, Neospora, Leishmania, Babesia, Enterocytozoon
- Helminths by NGS: Enterobius, Ascaris, Strongyloides, Trichuris, Necator, Ancylostoma, Anisakis, Toxocara, Taenia, Echinococcus.
- Wait 3 weeks in case of invasive digestive explorations, chemotherapy, or surgery.
- 15 days before: do not take antibiotics or herbal medicines (berberine, oregano oil, etc.), probiotics, or prebiotics.
- Wait 15 days after oral deworming.
