The Seminal Dysbiosis Test Extended Profile analyzes the seminal microbiome, including bacterial and fungal microbiota, urogenital pathogens, and the Extended STI profile, as well as a study of seminal plasma biochemistry.
This profile can provide objective information in the assessment of seminal microbiological balance, especially when studying the presence of bacteria, fungi, yeasts, and specific pathogens in the seminal sample.
It can be useful as analytical support in studies related to seminal health, male fertility, inflammatory or infectious processes of the urogenital tract, and clinical follow-up by healthcare professionals.
Results must always be interpreted in a clinical context, taking into account patient history, symptoms, urogenital background, previous treatments, fertility, seminogram, or other complementary tests.
Prior preparation, collection conditions, and sample transport must follow the laboratory’s specific instructions to ensure analysis quality.
