This analytical profile is designed for the detection of Lyme disease and co-infections associated with tick bites. It includes specific tests for the identification of antibodies against Borrelia and other possible tick-borne co-infections (Babesia spp., Bartonella spp., Anaplasma phagocytophilum).
- This study is recommended after a tick bite to rule out the transmission of a Borrelia infection or co-infections.
- Incubation period after the bite: 2 to 4 weeks.
- Facilitates early diagnosis of Lyme disease and co-infections that can complicate the clinical course.
- Aids in the differential diagnosis of febrile conditions, arthralgia, neurological disorders, or nonspecific symptoms after a tick bite.
- Lyme/Borrelia Antibodies Profile (IgG): Evaluates the presence of IgG antibodies against Borrelia, indicative of past or chronic infection.
- Lyme/Borrelia Antibodies Profile (IgM): Detects IgM antibodies, which usually appear in the initial stages of infection.
- Co-LYME Profile – Borrelia Co-infections: Allows the identification of simultaneous infections by other tick-borne pathogens, which can complicate diagnosis and treatment.
