• Recurrent or isolated infections (Vaginosis)

• MICROBIOME by NGS:
  • Bacteriome: more than 50 bacterial genera are detected, along with the most relevant species. The typing of the Lactobacillaceae family is included (L. crispatus, L. gasseri, L. jensenii, L. iners, L. paragasseri, L. vaginalis…)
  • Mycobiome: 5 fungal genera are detected. The typing of the group Candida (C. albicans, C. auris, C. glabrata, C. krusei, C. parapsilosis, C. tropicalis, C. theae, C. utilis, C. dubliniensis y C. lusitaniae) is included.

Collect the sample in the luteal phase (between days 16 to 24 after the start of menstruation). Avoid during the menstrual period.

• In case of amenorrhea or menopause, the sample can be taken at any time.
• Avoid treatment with ovules or antibiotics 15 days before.
• Avoid vaginal douching 1 week before, spermicides, or lubricants 48 hours before.
• Abstain from sexual activity for a minimum of 3 days before taking the sample.
• Do not use antiseptics (povidone, chlorhexidine) during the examination before taking the sample.
