Hair grows approximately 1 cm per month and nails about 3 mm, so both offer a useful historical perspective for metals that tend to deposit in the body, such as mercury. These are non-invasive and easy-to-collect samples, although they can be affected by external contamination: dyes, polishes, or work products.<\/p>\n<p><strong style=\"color: #82bd23;\">Saliva<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>primarily reflects the oral microenvironment.
